Historically born as a Morphing tool
DEP MeshWorks is a reference for morphing and design directly at the FE level on the market for 20+ years. Morphing technology can transform existing FE models to match new geometries at considerably less amount of time.
Definition of CAE Morphing by the creator
Morphing is an adaptation of given shape to a new form.
The concept model or the donor model can be modified/altered to required proportions to create new designs.
The feature based morphing tool of DEP MeshWorks can rapidly morph existing FE and CFD models to match new geometry and/or to new proportions.
Component and full system level FE/CFD models (such as automotive vehicle crash, NVH and durability models) can be morphed to fit target design features such as styling lines, sections, proportions etc., precisely.

Benefits from CAE Morphing in DEP MeshWorks
With the need to reduce design iterations, it will be useful if the concept changes are made in the FE model itself, taking the time required for CAD generation, off the cycle.
Free-Form (direct) morphing techniques within DEP MeshWorks can be quickly handled by novice users thanks to the automation and the user friendlyness of the GUI.
Control Block Morphing has been taken to new heights with the automated control block creation technology (global & local) reducing time and skill required for morphing dramatically
Connections are optimized within & between the morphing components using DEP MeshWorks algorithms.

Use DEP 3D Mapping technology to update quickly your Source models to Targets!
In the example shown, we use scanned data (STL in brown) of the object we would like to study. This object is our TARGET in DEP MeshWorks.
On the other hand we already invest energy and time to model an equivalent problem (CAE in blue). This model is our SOURCE in DEP MeshWorks.
In few clicks and the mapping technology, the SOURCE model is automaticaly updated to the shapes of the TARGET model.

CAE Morphing is working at the NODE/GRID level
Don't worry about if the morphing of DEP MeshWorks will work for you or not. Sure, it will.
The morphing technology has been released by DEP more than 25 years ago. This is a very robust technology and working on all the types of meshes like TRIAs, QUADs, TETRAs, HEXAs, PENTAs, etc
DEP is the initiator of this technology and DEP MeshWorks the leader on the market of all the associated workflows.

What is Direct FE Modeling?
Direct FE Modeling is the ability to design directly at the FE level.
For instance in the example below, "copy - paste" of an existing FE feature is done using the "Feature insertion" tool. In only few clicks, your FE design is updated as per the following steps:
DONE - 30s
