A Milestone in Automotive Innovation

On May 2, 2024, at the prestigious Prestige Auto Beaune event, the Quarkus P3 Pikes Peak Edition was unveiled to great fanfare. This iconic event, held at the Palais des Congrès in Beaune, brought together automotive enthusiasts, industry leaders, and motorsport legends to celebrate Quarkus’s ambitious journey to the 102nd Pikes Peak International Hill Climb in Colorado, USA.

The unveiling marked a major milestone in automotive engineering, with Ari Vatanen, 1981 World Rally Champion and 1988 Pikes Peak winner, lifting the veil on this exceptional supercar.

Quarkus P3 Pikes Peak: A French Automotive Triumph

The Quarkus P3 Pikes Peak Edition represents the culmination of relentless innovation and engineering prowess. Designed to tackle the grueling 19.9 km climb of the legendary Pikes Peak race, this prototype embodies the spirit of performance and precision.

Key Features:

• Lightweight and Powerful: Weighing just 600 kg and equipped with a 280 hp engine, the P3 is built for speed and agility.
• High-Altitude Adaptation: Designed to perform at altitudes exceeding 2,000 meters, the P3’s aerodynamic and engine systems have been meticulously optimized to handle reduced air density.
• Driver: The talented Bruce Jouanny will pilot the P3 up the mountain, bringing experience and skill to this ambitious challenge.

Dynas+ Group: Partnering for Success

As a long-standing partner of Quarkus, the Dynas+ Group has played a pivotal role in this project, leveraging advanced simulation tools like DEP MeshWorks to optimize the P3 for the unique demands of Pikes Peak.

Our Contributions:

• Chassis Optimization: Ensuring the structural integrity and performance of the chassis under the extreme stresses of Pikes Peak’s winding, uphill course.
